FUAM (Photo Application and ResearchResearch Center) launched its first project in 2015 with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency with the project “Establishment of a Photographic Design, Development and Production Laboratory”, and created the “Photobook” phenomenon, which is on the rise in the photography world and plays an important role in the production and sharing styles of young photographers. has supported.

Within the scope of this project, FUAM, Rafal Milach, Ania Nalecka, Nico Baumgarten, Michela Palermo, Remi Faucheux, Matthieu Charon, Marcus Schaden and Frederic Lezmi, Akina Books, Calin Kruse, etc. supported and then undertook the printing of these books as a limited number of artist books.

ISTANBUL PHOTO BOOK FESTIVAL aims to bring together institutions producing photo book publications, large and small independent organizations, initiatives and self-publishers by ensuring the visibility of young artists who produce in the field of contemporary photography, and presents artist books produced and published in limited numbers after FUAM's workshops. aimed to meet the domestic and international photography audience.

ISTANBUL PHOTO BOOK FESTIVAL, which is held for the first time in Turkey, includes seminars, speeches and face-to-face photobook evaluations organized by the guests of international photo book designers, photo book editors, photographers who publish their own books and publishers, and FUAM to be given for the first time in Turkey.  With "Dummy Book Award", FUAM aimed to strengthen the photobook environment in Turkey.
